Proposed Development Control Plan (DCP) Chapter E11 Gulgan (BILS Area 5) applies to (part) 66 The Saddle Rd, Brunswick Heads.
The land was identified in the Byron Business and Industrial Lands Strategy. It has been rezoned for business, industrial and environmental conservation purposes.
The current Byron DCP 2014 does not contain provisions to address development in this area so new controls are required:
The Draft DCP proposes to:
- Ensure that future development has consideration for design, environmental constraints and sustainability.
- Manage site and open space design, including landscaping, ecological enhancement and water cycle management.

The proposed changes to Byron DCP 2014 Part A include new definitions in Appendix A1: Dictionary.
