Feedback on changes to the Byron Shire Development Control Plan Chapter B4 – Traffic Planning, Vehicle Parking, Circulation and Access is now closed.

The current use and interpretation of Chapter B4 has highlighted the need to update several controls related to Monetary Contributions and Parking Schedules.

These updates aim to:

  • Provide clearer and more consistent guidance for applicants
  • Better reflect Council’s planning policies
  • Support positive planning outcomes.

New controls are also proposed to:

  • Allow shared parking arrangements in Employment Zones
  • Introduce provisions for Electric Vehicle charging. This includes adding definitions to Part A – Preliminary.
