Following the Expressions of Interest process, members of the Economic Activation Group were appointed by Council at the 19 February Meeting.

The Economic Activation Group brings together Council, industry and agency representatives to provide ongoing input into the implementation of the Byron Shire Economic Strategy 2025–2035 Action Plans.

The group is currently in Stage One.

An inception meeting and stakeholder workshops were held on 27 March and 31 March.

Actions Plans

Stakeholder feedback into the Action Plans will be considered. Updated plans to be reported to Council in June 2026.

Councillors will be invited to join the Group in Stage Two.

This will involve ongoing quarterly meetings to support collaboration and input into Strategy implementation.
