About the Belongil and Tallow Creek Floodplain project

We are reviewing and updating the Belongil and Tallow Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan.

These studies and plans help us:

  • Reduce flood risks
  • Protect property
  • Improve emergency response.
  • Access accurate flood information.

These documents were originally developed in 2015 and 2009.

Informed by your feedback, the project aims to get an up-to-date flood risk profile for these catchments.

Flood modelling

Following the 2022 floods, we analysed the flood behaviour in the Belongil and Tallow Creek catchments. This helped us update flood models.
