We are pleased to announce that we have successfully appointed 15 young people for the Byron Youth Council.

These young people represent a diversity of gender, age, school, location and interests.

They all live right here in the Byron Shire.

The first meeting was held on Wednesday 25 February. It was attended by our Mayor Sarah Ndiaye, other Councillors and our Executive team.

More opportunities for Councillors to meet and discuss relevant youth issues with the Youth Council are being planning.

Membership will run for 12 months - January to December 2026.
