Put simply, the Australian Government isn’t providing enough funding for Councils to deliver the essential services our communities deserve.

Councils are expected to deliver more with less, in the face of unprecedented operational costs.

Increasing Financial Assistance Grants for Councils to 1 percent of tax revenue would make an enormous difference and enable us to invest in the future of our communities.

What can you do?

Please join us as we support the Country Mayors Association campaign ‘Invest in Us’, demanding that Financial Assistance Grants for Councils are restored to 1 percent.

• Write or contact your local Federal member of Parliament demanding the Australian Government restore adequate funding for Councils.
• Complete the form below and we will include your answers in a Mayoral Letter to the Prime Minister.
