We have received a planning proposal to make changes to Byron Local Environmental Plan (LEP) 2014.
This will allow an approval pathway for an existing unauthorised dwelling at 32 Grays Lane, Tyagarah.
The planning proposal is seeking a dwelling entitlement for the land. This will create the pathway for the landowners to obtain approval, via a development application, for the dwelling.
A Planning Agreement has also been submitted. The purpose of this is for the landowner to pay Council developer contributions.
Council is the designated plan-making authority for this planning proposal.
Feedback closed on 21 October 2025.
On 11 December 2025, Council resolved to:
- Approve the Planning Proposal
- Send it to the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure for final approval
- Authorise the General Manager to sign the related Planning Agreement
